We are pleased to announce the recent collaboration between The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd (SMMT) and the Welsh Automotive Forum (WAF).

The partnership between these two organisations follows a study published last year by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS, formerly BERR) into ‘the business environment for Japanese automotive supply chain companies in the UK’ and the recent publication of the New Automotive Innovation Growth Team (NAIGT) report, both referencing the early action needed to explore and address the supply chain challenges for automotive companies with a particular focus on issues in identifying UK suppliers capable of meeting buyers requirements.

WAF and SMMT aims to assist companies in the Wales region with supplier identification and strengthen the development of the local supply chain by offering invaluable access to the SMMT’s Automotive Supplier Finder (ASF) service.
